Review: Monave mineral powder - Deep Plum #13, Swatch, EOTD

About Monave mineral powder - Deep plum #13

A dazzling blend of ruby and berry, with plum undertones. This versatile mineral powder from Monave is true to its name - a fine powder with deep plum-burgundy shade and fine shimmers. The base color has a hint of soft brown and looks beautiful on both cooler and warmer skin tones. The color is quite buildable and can be used lightly for a soft look as well as intensified for more dramatic looks.
The powder can be used for eyeshadows and can even be used on lips for a beguiling smile or on nails for a rosy hue.

Price: $7.50

Quantity: 40 grams

My experience with this product:

The first time I swatched it, I was quite impressed with the pigmentation and smooth texture of this powder. The shimmers contained in it are very fine and look beautiful on application. The best thing about this powder was that I didn't experience any fall out from it on application. However, I found the powder to be quite dense in intensity, hence very little can be more than enough to create the desired results.

On my eye. I've used it on the outer V, while I used a base skin color on the inner half
And below are some of the likes and dislikes that I've experienced with this eye shadow:

Likes:

1) I love the shade that is a universally flattering one. Deep plum shade, with pink and brown hues is something that can suit all skintones.

2) The buttery smooth texture and super pigmentation makes it a must have in your kitty.

3) I like the fact that this can be used on lips as well as on nails too. It gives a lot of control in creating your own customized lip glosses and nail lacquers.

4) I didn't experience any allergy from this powder.

5) Quite affordable for the quantity and quality you get.

Dislikes:

1) Since the powder is quite dense and thick, you might feel it a bit heavy on application. I could feel its presence on my eyes all the time I wear it.

2) The shimmer doesn't stay for long. I've experienced the shimmer to stay for 1-2 hours at the max, after which it goes off and only the base shade of plum-burgundy remains to show.

3) You definitely need a good eye shadow primer to carry this for longer hours. It usually starts creasing after 2-3 hours on my lids.

4) Availability may be a problem, but you can purchase it from Monave's website here.

Overall verdict:

I love such versatile and multi-purpose products for the amount of control they give to the users on the looks they want to create. This shade is quite flattering for all skintones and with the fine shimmers, it looks beautiful when applied on eye crease, or even as a single eyeshadow on the lids. I still have to experiment with it to create my nail lacquer, and I believe it will definitely look gorgeous there as well. Definitely recommended.
