Looking 20 at 30 is probably harder than to look 30 at 40. The differences can be relatively bigger!
If you want to look 20 at 30, I have some good tips for you.
Start by look at pictures of when you were 20 or do a FaceApp transformation of your current pictures if you want to look 20. Take note of the differences. Did your younger version have less wrinkles? Less lines? More plumpness? Bigger, straighter brows? Those are the common differences.
Then think of how old you look now. If you are 30 and people guess you are 26, you can look 20 super easily. If people think you are 35, it is gonna be trickier. Did you look 20 when you were 20? Or did you look older then? Or do you want to look as young as 20 the way other girls look when they were 20, just to be sure? Do you want to look like yourself at 20 or like a current 20 year old?
With the answers to these questions in mind, consider whether to go for your own look at 20, which will be easier, or if you just want to look like any young girl now.
Here are several things you can do to look younger at 30:
- eat more fat
- eat more fiber (it will regulate your hormones, meaning matter skin, less night sweats, and an overal younger appearance)
- scrub and use peelings to remove dead skin cells for a healthy glow
- get your old hairstyle back, go for long hair, preferably virgin undyed hair for an innocent glow, or have it dyed lighter if your hair went darker over the year.
- don't go for old fashioned updos. Long, straight, or wavey hair are best, braids and an overall even, opaque color whatever the shade is, don't go for unnatural and harsh "helmet" shades, or aubergines, or anything someone is not born with naturally
- go in the sun, it will balance your hormones and will even out your skin tone, you will need less makeup and therefore look younger. Wear a light sunblock to avoid skin ageing
- do your makeup look you did then, or wear less makeup if it sets in your fine lines.
- focus on moisturising products that plump you up
- rinse hair and skin with filtered water
- eat and drink a lot of minerals, so you sparkle from the inside
- dress the way you did then
- try to get to the same weight
- exercise as much as you did then
- wear girly colors, like white, lilac and pink, avoid mature shades and styles
- go for timeless clothing that current 20 year olds like, like Guess, Levis, Lauren Ralph Lauren.
My favourite part is make-up. Specifically for make-up, focus on the products that can only make you look younger: pore filling primers, brightening concealer, lip plumper, lash curler, inner corner highlighting, waterline lightening pencil, thin powdery eyebrow pencils, pink glossy lipstick, lipscrubs, light blushes, "bonne minne" powders which are a cross between powder and bronzer, and give you a healthy glow. Apply eyeliner to elongate the lashline for a doo eyed effect and stop making dramatic cateyes. Curl your lashes and use a light amount of mascara.
For the technique: use a fluffy foundation brush for light even coverage. On the eyes, create a doe eye, instead of a cat eye. Use bronzer, natural lipstick shades with shimmer, cute blush, and highlighter. Get the right tones for your type of skin so you look even more naturally young and beautiful.
Some of my favourite products for looking younger:
Dior Beige Kohl Liner
Mac Eyeshadow Nylon
Dior Rosy Glow Blush
So, I hope you enjoyed my tips!
